We haven’t seen poll numbers this bad for a sitting Prez since the Shrubs Daddy was in the Oval Office Hot Seat. As The Emir of SMOE peers into his Crystal Ball I will make some predictions. Don’t expect any change in direction for the Chimps poll numbers or change in staff.

When Reagan was in office and suffered similar problems in his second term he brought new blood in and tried to regain traction. The Chimps feels a sense of loyalty to those that help him get to the show and this is commendable, but unfortunately these same people that at one time were an asset are now a liability that is weighing down the administration like a lead weight ie read Karl Rove. And thus this blind sense of loyalty will be his downfall

Also, with his poll numbers at an all time low expect the GOP FUHRER to stay the course and never admit he was wrong on anything i.e. the Bush Same Ole, Same Ole : “The economy is doing great and in Iraq were making progress, but the Press never talks about it….blah.. blah.”

This is a one trick pony with no other course to follow and no more tricks to show. Or as the clueless Red State S**T Kickers in Texas would say this Clown is all Hat and No Cattle. The down hill slide continues unabated.

Funny how there is a deafening silence from out REDSTATE.ORG pals. Then again when you see the Emperors New Clothes for what they are what can you say.

Looks like the Texan Nero, AKA; the GOP Fuhrer is getting what he deserves. Poll numbers going south, protests everywhere around the world! No wonder everyone hates him and his Redstate jackasses! These Red State fools can stick their heads up you know where and convince themselves that “ they hate because they are jealous of us!” Now even the British government is beginning to realize that they followed Nero down a cliff!

Sorry but Bush has not yet hit the 37% that Clinton had at his low point. Since the CBS poll had an inordinate amount of Dems to GOP polled, those numbers were skewed. The lowest real poll I have seen is 40%, still 3% above Clinton's low.

Welcome to the Home of the Blogosphere Insurgency Spinach boy!

I beg to differ this is hot off the presses from where the Right Wing Rules..ie The FOX NEWS CHANNEL:

11/10/05 FOX Poll: President Bush's Ratings Continue to Suffer with only 36% approving of the job Bush is doing as Pres.

It’s gonna be a long 3 years for you GOP faithful.

ok, so this week there was a 36% and a 38.5%. An approximate averarage of those is 37%. So he has finally matched Clinton's low point.

And it's gonna be a long 4 years after '08 for the left.

And Joe, I am curious if you are able to hold a straight intelligent conversation without any name calling. You see name calling is not an intellectual point unless there is some outstanding appropriate creativity that goes with it.

To merely state "you're more like Bluto than Popeye, huh, huh, huh, huh, huh" doesn't quite cut it. Names don't hurt me. Just trying to help you.

Alright Pal please relate to me how the the GOP could get back in the WH in 08 if things are this bad already in Bush's 2nd term?

Hell, you got 06 to survive first.
If the Bush game plan has been such a miserable failure to bring him to this low piont do you really expect a change?

People are beginning to see that the Dems are playing games with our national security for the sole purpose of political gain. With each encouragement from the media and the far left fringe they press ahead with this reckless plan. Like I have often said, the left always overplays their hand and they will do so here. At some point it will solidify in the thinking people's mind that they cannot ever trust Dems with national security.

Another key ingredient is that it is looking more and more likely that Bush will outlast liberal dominance in Europe. The riots in France, the horrible economies of Germany, France and other EU countries, the stranglehold of socialized medicine and socialism in general are going to severly impact leftist Europe. Like the Soviet Union, socialist EU is a house of cards and once it begins to fall, it will be as swift as the fall of the USSR.

At the same time the Dems are pushing us toward the failing policies in EU when they even dare to say what their agenda is. Sorry, not a winning ticket. When I continuously press for agenda points to support Dems with you and others there is nothing; only bashing Bush. Dems are terrified to reveal their agenda and have put all of their eggs in the basket of bashing Bush. What are they going to do if Iraq turns wonderful and troops start coming home to victory parades either before '06 or before '08? They will have to change their pants, is what they will do. That is why they can't even give one single compliment to our troops for doing anything right, because they are so invested in an Iraqi loss. To turn back now would be political suicide for them, so they choose a slow death instead.

Undermining national security huh? How would that be? Please relate to me this secret plan. Is it kinda like Bush did by taking us into Iraq and overstretching our forces? What is the reason for the Iraq war this week? A govt. states that Terrorism has quadrupled under your Fuhrer. What a winning track record.

We’ll see what happens in the EU. I have friends that travel overseas all the time and they state that we i.e. America is HATED and especially Bush. Looks like Blair is all but done politically. When he’s gone who will be the chimps lying pal then?

Once again OH THICK ONE! All the Dems need do is run against BUSH’s long list of failures: Iraq, The Deficit, and the Economy etc.

Iraq is a failure and will not get better. You can take that to the bank. I will be more than will to wager that. For such a success the body count keeps rising, as does the insurgency.
Iraq is just like Vietnam,, a quagmire. I come from a military family, with members of that family that have served in combat. These same members think this war is BS and that it is a lost cause and that the poor guys that are over there are nothing, but pawns in Bush’s Oil/Greed driven agenda . Why do you think the recruitment is an all time low? This war in the end will do nothing, but help to lead to the destabilization of the Middle East. The onus is on Bush for an exit strategy. He doesn’t have one, as he knows that we will be there for decades. It’s a good thing that we have Ahmed Chalebi there to watch out for our best interests….right.

If you would, please relate to me what good GW has done since becoming Prez?

The best thing that Bush did was pull out of KYOTO which would have taken the Clinton recession that met Bush when he came to office and turned it into a depression.

Next, the tax cuts shortened Clinton's recession and brought us back to 5% unemployment, and he has done a great job at shifting the courts more away from judicial activism and bench legislation to what they are supposed to do - interpret the law.

History will show that Iraq was and still is the right thing to do. Just because spineless liberals can't stand up when it gets tough. Post WWII Germany was tough and the liberals said the same thing then. We stuck with it then and Bush will stick to it now and history will reward him for that.

We both know who is being thick here. Dems can't win the presidency and new congressional seats without an agenda. If they do get an agenda, they will not publish it because they know it would be a stinker. When you ask me questions like what is a good GOP agenda and what good GW has done I answer. I know you will disagree, but I don't duck the question like you do each and every time. It must be a sore spot to not be able to proudly proclaim what your party is all about. It must be a bitter pill when you see Dems have to hide in shame for what they are or deceive in order to win. I feel for you.

I'm still waiting for those millions of jobs from the tax cuts. Under clinton the unemployment rate was was at 3% under your Fuhrer it is held steady at 5% and above. Hell it wasn't until after the beginning of his second term that he created job#1.

Published agenda or not just keep watching Bush's Poll numbers plummet. His political capital is spent.

And I am an Independant. I just hate Bush and the GOP and everything they stand for.

Who ever wins the next election. Get ready for your taxes to be raised.
DO me and everyone else a favor and go see your recruiter. Bush needs u in his Noble Cause. The sooner you genes are eliminated from the gene pool the better.

Too late. I have already passed on some quality genes to 2 fine young men. Of course the best of their genes come from their mother.

And which of Clinton's economic policies is responsible for those unemployment numbers (I'll let you get away with substituting 3% for his best 3.9% by truncating the decimal instead of rounding)? If you can name the cause, you'll get a gold star.

Ok so even you "hate Bush and the GOP and everything they stand for" which combined with all your other posts we can imply that you have nothing good to say about the Dems. Now here is the deal. If somebody were magically already at the polls and voting, hatred for Bush might be enough. But hatred of Bush is not enough to get people to the polls, especially when he isn't running. People may vote against someone they hate, but they go to the polls for someone they like. Who they "would have voted for if they went" votes don't count.

What do you think helped to defeat that Rep in VA. a red state. He lost with the help of Bush's 11th hour visit. That hatred and dislike for the Bush policies will only get worse from here on out. Look at the Fox News Poll..he's loosing his base. The damage is done.

Is this some kind of code words for he spent a lot of money? By the way, supply side economics has worked all three times it was tried in the last 40 years. JFK did it, Reagan did it and Bush did it. All three times taxes were cut across the board, revenues went significantly up in following years. You guys sure like to rewrite history.

Joe, I have yet to read a fact provided by you, hear or at Ostroy. I provide facts and support constantly and you ask me for more facts. You do like playing by unequal rules don't you. I supply facts and anlysis, you supply name calling and imaginary situations such as recruiter conversations. No bad spinach. The facts are on my side. As with good points about Dems you do not supply facts either.

"How did this massive deficit appear?"
Well if more revenue is increasing with tax cuts just like it did under JFK and Reagan there can only be one source of the defecit. Too much spending. So the solution is to cut spending. If we are in a critical war like WWI, WWII, and GWOT it is the time to tighten our belts not spend money right and left. That is the one problem I have with Bush, is that he has not exercised fiscal restraint. However, don't fool yourself into thinking it would be different if Dems were in control. The items Kerry promised us in his campaigning would have cost a lot of money as well. The reason Clinton had a surplus, was the miraculous once in a life time Dot.com boom that brought in tons of revenue and the Newt Gingrich GOP revolution of '94 that kept spending in check.

The most interesting fact that support’s Joe’s thesis on this is: There has never been an incumbent defeated in the Minneapolis Mayor race in 40 years! – Last week pitted two DEMs against each other; the incumbent Mayor who supported Bush in 2004 and the challenger who did not support Bush. The incumbent lost by over 30%! Like your hero Nero the zero believing something is true doesn’t make it true! Only Redstate fools like you believe in the unbelievable! – Be proud to be stupid, I am sure it makes your kind feel good!!

Taxes are stupid except when we spend 40% of our national budget on our war machine! Forget cleaning the environment or just generally taking care of each other! Beachboy, nothing is stopping you from paying more taxes than are required. If you have a problem with Americans paying the least amount of taxes in the world, then pay more. Just don't ask me to pay more. In fact, I want to pay less. There are estimates out there that governmental budgets at every level have at least 25% waste and fraud and nobody on this site seems to care about spending too much. Taxation = power period and that is what liberals want. They don't care about the people, just the power.

Your description of the state of the country does not wash with the fact that people are still flooding into our country legally and illegally. Why would they do that if it is so horrible.

Amazing how nobody can say one good point about the Dems on this or any other lefty site other than anti-Bush slogans. It is also amazing that name calling seems to be the pinnacle of intellect around here.

I bet the Jordanians are happy that we went to war in Iraq now. Way back before we went in King Abdullah predicted what would happen, but Bush knew better. I guess he had to follow the voice of the Almighty and Halliburton and kickass any way.

The way you regurgitate that same ole baseless slop you hear on THE FOX/GOP NEWS CHANNEL would have made even the most dedicated and mindless Hitler Youth proud. Even when the obvious that the Iraq war is based on Lies and BS is staring you in the face you still spout the party line. Why aren’t you over there now? Since lowering the tax rate across the board has raised revenue the last 3 times it was tried, that would be the ideal solution to the deficit for all. But those on the left would rather see the country suffer from a deficit than to give the evil rich another tax break.

Alternatively, simply by freezing growth rates of spending across the board, we would soon grow out of the deficit, but the cowards in Congress defined cuts in growth as cuts in spending and will not do that either. I blame both GOP and Dems for their failure to do the necessary cuts.
